WASHINGTON - Volkswagen AG is recalling 39,583 2005 Jetta sedans
sold in the United States.
On these vehicles equipped with a 2.5l gasoline engine, a fuel
supply line clamp located in the engine compartment may not be
positioned properly and could cause a fuel leak. Fuel leakage in the
presence of an ignition source, says the National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration (NHTSA), could result in a fire.
Dealers will inspect the position of the engine compartment fuel
supply line clamp and, if necessary, replace the clamp. The recall
is expected to begin July 2005.

ID No. 05V305000.
